Rev. John Chua, Chairman of the CETS Board of Trustees

Rev. John Chua was born and raised in a Christian family in Malaysia. He came to know and love Christ in his young age. After his second year of college, he came to United States to further his study in mass communication at Oklahoma City University. In 1998, pastor John Chua graduated from Denver Seminary with his Master of Divinity. He then served in pastoral and church-planting ministries with Chinese Discipleship International. During his years in Seminary, the Lord also led him to different Chinese ministries in Denver and China. He served as the board of director of Denver Mainland Chinese Fellowship from 1997-99. He also went to Beijing, Shanghai and inner Mongolia to conduct training. Late in 2000, He was called by Chinese Christian Church of Virginia (PCA) to be the associate pastor of Springfield mission church.

Rev. Biao Chen, Vice Chairman of the CETS Board of Trustees

Rev. Biao Chen (Ben) is a senior pastor in Orlando Chinese Evangelical Christian Church, a member of Presbyterian Church of the America, and a coordinator of Chinese Projects of Third Millennium Ministries in Orlando Florida. He served as a Mission deacon in Columbus Chinese Christian Church, Chinese Christian Internet Mission.

  • Received Bachelor and Master Degrees in China.
  • Received a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from Texas A&M University in 1994 and became Christian in the same year.
  • Received an M . Div. in 2004 from Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando
  • Completed his Post doctorate research as an associate at the Ohio State University
  • Served as a Software engineer at Lucent Technologies.

His wife Xuguang Pan now is an Assistant Director of the Chinese Christian Internet Mission, a leading Christian contents provider for Chinese Christian communities, and also served as a Chinese webmaster and Media developer for Global Media Outreach of Campus Crusade for Christ.

Biao and Xuguang live in Orlando with their two children, Jessica and Jerry.

Dr. Hongjun Li, Treasurer, Director of the CETS Board of Trustees

Dr. Hongjun Li is an ordained Ruling Elder of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He is a co-founder of the Orlando Chinese Evangelical Christian Church (OCECC) and serves as its lay leader and preacher. Dr. Li was converted in 1992; since 1994 he has been elected to serve as church deacons in different ministry fields, such as mission, Sunday school, and disciple trainings. He has participated in overseas missions since 1998, from campus ministry to theological training. He is also an active member of an Internet apologetics team.

  • Received Bachelor (BS 1982) and Master (MS 1984) degrees in Aerospace Engineering from China.
  • Was an exchange scientist to German Aerospace Establishment (DLR) in 1988-1989.
  • Came to the US in 1989, and received his second MS in 1991 and Ph.D. in 1993 in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
  • Serves as the Principal Engineer in Siemens Energy Corp., adjunct faculty in the Department of Mechanical, Material and Aerospace Engineering, University of Central Florida, and a member of Internal Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) Turbomachinery Committee.
  • MA student in Theological Studies in Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando (part time).

Dr. Li is married to Yu Luo, his college classmate, and has three children, Angie, John, and Grace. The entire family serves at OCECC.

Lydia Liu, Secretary, Director of the CETS Board of Trustees

Sister Lydia Liu is Microsoft Certified Professional, System Administrator, and System Engineer. She has worked as Senior Software Engineer in Wall Street Investment bank and financial services.

She became Christian in 1992 and served as a Mission & Caring Ministry deacon in Chinese Evangelical Mission Church of New Jersey from 1994 to 2003. Both she and her husband are local fellowship leaders in Rutgers Community Christian Church now. She is also a member of an Internet apologetics team. She has a lovely son who has graduated from Cornell university.

  • Graduated in mechanical engineering from Sichuan R&T University, Chengdu, China 1985
  • Studied in Technical Graphics/CAD, Middelsex County College 1996 Middlesex, NJ
  • Studied in Computer Science  as MS student in Stevens Institute of Technology
  • Worked as a Mechanical Engineer on Pressure Vessels, Pressure Equipment in China ChengDa Engineering Co., Ltd. 1991
  • Served as Senior Technical Associate in Steven Douglas Interim Financial Services Inc. Present

Dr. Tony Guan, Director of the CETS Board of Trustees

Dr. Tony Guan serves as an administrative deacon and chair of the deacon board in Orlando Chinese Evangelical Christian Church. He was converted and baptized in 1997.

  • Received Bachelor and Master degrees in Beijing, China
  • Received Ph.D. degree in 2007 in Florida, US
  • Now working in an engineering consulting form at Orlando, FL
Dr. Tony Guan married to Fei Yu and has one son, Ethan Guan.
